Hotel Monsieur Saintonge is named after the street on which the building is located in The Marais. But it’s also the name of a French region looking out into the Atlantic. Synonymous with excellent cuisine, the Cognac region inspired Monsieur Saintonge to include a combination of irresistible flavours in its grocery section. It opens its delicatessen to whoever wishes to sample its fare, whether in the patio or the hotel lobby.
The smell of freshly-baked croissants and hot coffee filters through the thick walls each morning.
The Breakfast
If Monsieur Saintonge makes use of the basements in his building it’s to reveal the Parisian stone from which their vaults are built. He has breakfast served at lightly-coloured tables, in the cool cave where wines were once stored.
French pastries or scrambled eggs with bacon, charcuterie, sausages, cereals, pancakes and of course pressed fruit juice: you can enjoy our breakfast offer from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., or have it served in your room.
The Patio
The ivy thrives under the Paris skies, and the flowers offer delightful colours in the spring. The wickerwork armchairs are perfect for reading the international press or enjoying a game of chess.
For an improvised lunch, simply head for Monsieur Saintonge’s pantry, which he has stocked with delicacies from all over France.
